And along came the girl!
As a Dunwoody newborn photography specialist, I had the joy of capturing baby Ella’s first moments. After raising three boys, Nadine and her family were beyond excited to welcome their baby girl. I was thrilled to document this special time for them. As a mom of three sons, I was excited for them that their fourth one was a girl.
Nadine contacted me early in her third trimester, eager to plan a newborn session for Ella. We discussed her vision. She wanted soft, elegant colors—pinks, lilacs, and linens to create a timeless, gentle feel. We also made sure to plan how we’d capture sweet moments with Ella’s three brothers, who were just as excited to be part of the newborn photo session.
When Nadine let me know Ella had arrived, we scheduled the session for day 17—right in the ideal window for newborn photos (7-21 days). At that age, babies are still sleepy, which allows us to get those adorable curled-up poses.
Ella was a dream during the session, sleeping soundly throughout. We captured some beautiful shots of her, and her brothers couldn’t have been more caring. You could see just how much they already loved her, and I have no doubt she’ll always have her three protectors by her side!
Photographing this lovely family was an honor. Even though the early days can sometimes be overwhelming with sleepless nights and adjustments, Nadine’s family felt calm, happy, and proud to welcome their baby girl. I hoped I captured the love and connection between them in every shot.
