Ex-premie baby photographed at 3 months
Meet beautiful Olivia, a warrior who just could not wait to come into this world. Mom contacted our photography studio in her second trimester to schedule a newborn photo session for Olivia who was due to be born in January. Olivia decided that she wanted to arrive three months early and was born at 26 weeks gestation. This premature baby spent almost three months in the NICU but was able to come home the week of Christmas to the delight of her family.
Baby Olivia and her parents came to our photography studio located in Dunwoody/Sandy Springs for her newborn photo session. We photographed her when she was three months old but on the week she was supposed to be born. Mom wanted baby photos using pink, creams, greens which were perfect colors for her. She was awake and alert for a good part of her session and unlike many ex-premie babies that have spent time in NICU and are used to noise and stimulation, Olivia was very quick to wake up but we still capture beautiful “sleepy” posed
Sharlene and Kevin shared that they are from Jamaica and met while in school in Miami and now live in Dunwoody, near our photography studio. Needless to say, holding this little miracle and photographing her was such an honor for me. Such a true blessing!
I was thrilled on how beautiful these photos turned out and I know they will treasure them forever.

Remember the ideal time to book is a few months before baby is born to assure availability. For premature babies, they can still be photographed as “newborns” even if they are much older than the “ideal age” for newborn photos. Ex premie babies require such special attention and their safety and comfort is my main priority while capturing beautiful photos.
