Welcome to the world baby Griffin, I am sure a future star soccer player! You are the perfect addition to this sweet family! We photographed Griffin in our studios located in Dunwoody/Sandy Springs for his newborn photography session. As an Atlanta United fan, I was thrilled to have our amazing goalie Brad Guzan‘s family in front of my lens.
After Bre contacted me, we discussed the vision for the photos. First, their main request was to have a photo of the baby on top of a soccer ball being held by dad. In addition, mom wanted to use neutrals colors for the newborn photos.
Mom brought this beautiful cross and wanted to incorporate it in an image. She had her two older children photographed with this cross, and of course, wanted to include it again.
Griffin was 19 days old on the day of his newborn photos. Because of dad’s busy schedule with Atlanta United games, we photographed the rest of the family two days after the newborn photos.
It was such an honor for me to meet and photograph the Guzan family. I was thrilled, but a bit nervous, to have our famous Atlanta United goalie at my home studio. However, Brad’s easy going personality and love for his wife and children made me feel comfortable right away. He was amazing at getting smiles from Aiden and Emerson. I tried to capture the essence of this family with these images.
During the photo shoot, the parents shared with me that they are high school sweethearts. Furthermore, baby Griffin was born on their 17th anniversary of their first date, how sweet is that!
Brad was such a trooper going along with this image, which we photograph with and without globes. I absolutely love how it turned out. How can you not become a soccer player when you are placed on a ball since you are a baby. Of course, we can’t wait to see what these children will accomplish!
Needless to say, I absolutely adored photographing this amazing family and loved the energy between them.
